Open House
Event Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026
Open Houses provide students and families additional opportunities to visit our campus. These are also great opportunities to meet other new students interested in similar academic programs, meet faculty members, and gain in-depth knowledge regarding specific programs and applicable majors.
Open House Schedule:
7:45 a.m. Check-in, Fuquay Welcome Center (Light Breakfast)
Student organizations, study abroad, residence life, career services and food service representatives available to answer questions.
8:15 a.m. Welcome, Carter Hall
9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Academic Sessions and Campus Tours, Various Locations on Campus
USI faculty provide information on academic opportunities. Student Ambassadors provide guided campus tours (including housing) that depart from your academic interest session.
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Additional Resources and Information, Fuquay Welcome Center
Talk with faculty about academic programs, visit with an admissions counselor, talk to a financial aid counselor, learn about the Honors Program and more!

Health Professions Day
Event Date: Friday, October 23, 2026
Health Professions Day incorporates hands-on experiences within our various health professions programs as well as interaction with faculty and current students from USI College of Nursing and Health Professions.
This day is intended for individual students and parents/guardians. School groups interested in visiting campus should complete the Group Visit Registration Form.
Sessions will include:
- Dental Assisting/Dental Hygiene
- Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Food and Nutrition
- Health Informatics
- Health Services/Health Administration
- Nursing
- Occupational Therapy/Occupational Therapy Assisting
- Radiologic & Imaging Sciences
- Respiratory Therapy
High School Business Day
Event Date: November 10, 2026. Registration coming soon!
High School Business Day features both group and individual challenges that allow students to compete for scholarships to the Romain College of Business, gain valuable experience and network with faculty, USI students and local business professionals.
Registration Instructions
You may register for one or both challenges. Each school is limited to 2 teams for the Case Study Competition. Case study teams can range from 2-5 team members.
Exploring Majors Day
Event Date: Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
Exploring Majors Day provides an opportunity to learn about various academic majors and minors available at USI as well as careers our graduates pursue. This day is designed for students who have a variety of interests but are still trying to finalize their intended major.
Exploring Majors Day Schedule:
12-12:30 p.m. Choosing a Major at USI
Hear from our Center for Exploring Majors about resources available to help students choose a major and gain insight about questions and information to consider as you are exploring your options.
12:30-1:30 p.m. Exploring Majors and Minors Fair
Attend our Exploring Majors and Minors Fair to engage with faculty and learn more about our academic programs and careers our graduates pursue.
2-3 p.m. Campus Tour
Student Ambassadors provide guided campus tours that showcase academic facilities as well as common areas for students.
3-4 p.m. Housing Tour (optional)
View on campus housing options including our residence halls and on-campus apartments.
Medical Careers Showcase
Event Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026
The Medical Careers Showcase allows you to meet with current professionals and attend break-out sessions that will help you navigate the application process, learn about undergraduate pathways and opportunities that will set you up for success and help you understand what it is truly like to work in the field.
This event is geared towards students who plan to complete an undergraduate degree and then pursue a professional degree for the following professions:
- Medicine (M.D. or D.O.)
- Chiropractic
- Dentist
- Optometry
- Pharmacy
- Physical Therapy
- Physician Assistant
